Subscribe to our newsletter Blizzard Entertainment has acknowledged that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Overwatch has launched in a less-than-stellar state after widespread player complaints.Earlier this week, Blizzard confirmed that the previously announced Nintendo Switch 2 version of Overwatch would finally release alongside Season 2 of the new era, which saw Overwatch 2 go back to being just Overwatch earlier this year.
The original post promised updates to visuals and "up to 60fps" performance, like the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
However, upon the launch of Overwatch Season 2, some were shocked to find that the Overwatch Nintendo Switch 2 Edition really isn't all that different from the original Switch version.Over on the Overwatch subreddit, player complaints emerged in various posts shortly after it launched, with some speculating that Blizzard had released the wrong build of the game because it ran worse than the version on the original Switch
