Subscribe to our newsletter Head of Marvel TV Brad Winderbaum says that the original concept for Daredevil: Born Again didn't hew very closely to the continuity of the three seasons of the previous Netflix show.

However, they were able to step back and realize the importance of the Netflix show and refocus Born Again to be more in line with what came before."When the project of Born Again was originally conceived, it was playing a little too fast and loose with continuity.

I was kinda like, are we sneaking by? Are we gonna be able to do this?" Winderbaum tells TikTok channel Mic Drop Moments.

"I was a fan of the original shows, so it was always like, well, I don't want to contradict anything.

But I think there was a little bit of hesitation to embrace all the continuity, the Defenders, inside of the universe.""When the strike happened, we were able to look at the material.

We were like, it was plain.

We have to go all-in, which was an amazing opportunity for us," he continues.
