Subscribe to our newsletter Primer co-creator Tom Krajewski has hinted that an animated series based on the colorful teen hero could be in the works at DC Studios.A DC fan account recovered a conversation from December 2025 between the comic book writer and another IG user, which is still available in the comment section of the first pinned post on Krajewski's personal Instagram account.

A fan wrote, "They definitely need to make an animated series about Primer.

She could be DC's equivalent to Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur show." Krajewski replied, "Strong agree! And maybe we already are..."Primer was first released as a graphic novel back in 2020, and introduces a teen artist named Ashley Rayburn who stumbles upon a set of body paints (developed for the military) that, when applied to the wearer, grant them a pretty wild range of special powers (sort of like the opposite of Miss Goldenweek's evil body paint powers in One Piece) ## Editor's Note The implications of this news could be significant for the industry.
