Subscribe to our newsletter RoboCop is one of the best sci-fi/action movies of all time, which is probably why Prime Video is apparently greenlighting yet another try at a reboot of the '80s masterpiece, this time as a streaming series.Amazon's plans to reboot the series were first reported in 2023, with The Ankler now reporting that plans for a RoboCop reboot show are now moving forward.

No other details about what to expect from a potential RoboCop streaming series have been reported.This would be the second try at a remake of Paul Verhoeven's social satire opus, following 2014's ill-fated reboot movie which put Joel Kinnaman in the leading role and forgot to include anything cool or funny or interesting.

It currently sits at a 50% rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.Article continues below If you can't tell, I'm a huge fan of the original RoboCop.
