Subscribe to our newsletter Bad news for Ben Solo fans, as Steven Soderbergh has poured water over any possibility of the scrapped Star Wars movie getting off the ground now Disney has new leadership.The film would have been titled The Hunt for Ben Solo, with Adam Driver reprising his role as the redeemed titular character after The Rise of Skywalker.
However, while Lucasfilm felt very positively about the idea, Disney boss Bob Iger and Disney Entertainment co-chair Alan Bergman weren't so keen.So, with Josh D'Amaro taking over as Disney CEO – and Dave Filoni and Lynwen Brennan stepping up as Lucasfilm co-presidents – some fans might be thinking Soderbergh could return to working on the Ben Solo movie.
But, Soderbergh is not interested in going back.
"Nope," he told The Playlist.Article continues below Still, Soderbergh doesn't seem to have any bad feelings.

"I don't regret one minute of the time we spent working on that," he reflected.
"I felt the work was good.
It's just good for you to be in that room and working on it.
It's like CrossFit – it's good for you
