Subscribe to our newsletter Mark Hamill has shared his thoughts on Dave Filoni taking over as co-head of Lucasfilm, and it sounds like he couldn't be happier.Filoni and Lynwen Brennan officially became co-presidents earlier this year, replacing Kathleen Kennedy.In a recent interview, Hamill told USA Today that he "can't think of better hands" than Filoni, who understands Star Wars "so well."Article continues below "George was a mentor to Dave, so he knows George's sensibility," he added, praising the "impressive content" Filoni has worked on, like The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.Hamill, of course, played Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy and the sequel trilogy, and he returned to reprise his role in both The Mandalorian season 2 and The Book of Boba Fett."The reason I did Mandalorian was that Luke had a beginning and an end.
