Subscribe to our newsletter The Boys season 5 might be wrapping up the mainline show, but there are plenty of spin-offs to keep the franchise alive.As it turns out, this shared universe isn't called the Boys Cinematic Universe, but actually the Vought Cinematic Universe (or VCU).

That's according to entertainment journalist Jack Shepherd, inform was who of the name by Amazon after interviewing showrunner Eric Kripke for SFX magazine."Speaking to Kripke this time, he briefly talked about the expanding BCU… or, at least, I thought it was BCU.

But I was wrong.

Amazon clarified in a follow-up email after our print deadline that Kripke actually meant to say VCU, or Vought Cinematic Universe.
