Subscribe to our newsletter If you have ever wondered what Star Wars villain Maul's real last name is, then we have good news for you, as we may now be closer than ever to finding that out, thanks to Maul – Shadow Lord star Sam Witwer.After a fan shared a drawing on Twitter of the former Sith Lord working at a hypothetical bar called 'Opress Brothers Bar', a conversation started around what Maul's surname is.

Witwer joined the debate, saying, "Holy crap.

Wait...

Is Maul's last name Opress??? Maul Opress? If they're blood brothers, I don't see why not.

Or is it Maul Talzin?"We already knew that Darth Maul had a brother named Savage Opress.

The figure was introduced in The Clone Wars series, but plays a bigger role in the new display as it explores Maul's place in the Galaxy Far, Far Away.

Both Maul and Savage are sons of the powerful Force-witch and leader of the Nightsisters of Dathomir, Mother Talzin.
