Subscribe to our newsletter Bloodborne is getting an animated adaptation from Sony, which will be "very true" to the game.

The news was announced as part of the studio's CinemaCon panel along with some brief details about what to expect as well by Sony Pictures Entertainment president Sanford Panitch.Per Variety, the studio head teased that it will be R-rated to allow it to bring to life the gory world of the game.

This is set in the Victorian-style city of Yharnam and follows a Hunter who pursues demons with a blood-borne disease that turns them into horrifying monsters.

It's pretty gnarly so it's good to hear Sony will be leaning into the horror.One of the most surprising parts of the news too is the involvement of superfan and YouTuber JackSepticEye, who will be producing the film.
