An Amazon listing has been spotted for the delayed Elden Ring Nintendo Switch 2 port, and we're looking at an $80 Game-Key Card

As spotted by Wario64, the Amazon listing for Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 is live on the site, and while the delayed FromSoftware hit doesn't have an official release date yet (instead, it currently lists a December 31, 2026 placeholder), Amazon has released a price for it. The Tarnished Edition for Switch 2 will seemingly be $79.99 in the US, and it's also going to be a Game-Key Card – one of Nintendo's somewhat controversial physical games with nothing on the card.

Elden Ring was the first third-party title announced for the console during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, but after reports that the port was real rough when shown to fans at Gamescom 2025, the port was delayed until 2026 for "performance adjustments." And, after a recent hands-on, GamesRadar+'s James Daly reported that the port is feeling real good now, signalling that it may be closer to release.

The $80 price may seem like a lot for the now four-year-old game, and it is, but this price does match with what Bandai Namco is charging for the Shadow of the Erdtree Edition of the game on other platforms. And, with the Tarnished Edition including the DLC, it makes some sense why its priced this way. A user on Reddit notes this, but given that it's called "Tarnished Edition" unlike the Shadow of the Erdtree Edition, "They better put a big blurb on the front saying it's included though, because if they don't the only thing people are going to see is '$80 GKC.'"

However, we've seen the likes of Square Enix and Capcom price games differently when bringing them to Switch 2, with the likes of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Street Fighter 6, and the Resident Evil Generations Pack allowing players to pick up Resident Evil 7 and Village alongside Requiem for about £10 more, so I understand why some are shocked Bandai Namco is sticking to its guns with this release. As one Reddit user puts it, "I think these companies don't understand that they need to not maximize per unit revenue, when they are trying to break into a new audience."

4 years later, new Elden Ring cutscene uncovered with massive lore implications for DLC star Miquella.
